DEAD MESSENGERS - APOCALYPSE DREAMS
Dead Messengers “Apocalypse Dreams” is the latest project from Boston-based producer and filmmaker Pat Hanlin, captured at his recording studio and production house, Revivalhouse Records & Film.
The album was written and arranged by Hanlin—a Vic Firth-endorsed drummer and internationally touring multi-instrumentalist. Hanlin has worked as a musician, producer and musical director for Grammy-nominated acts and multi-platinum artists, is a multiple winner of the American Songwriting Awards, International Songwriting Competition, and John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and has written and scored for Barak Obama’s “My Brother’s Keeper” Program, The NBA and MLB, Northeastern University, the Life is Good company, and others.
Hanlin handled a majority of the debut’s instruments himself, along with recording, producing, and mixing the album. Pete Lalish of world-famous indie darlings LUCIUS adds more electric guitar and members of ZACH BROWN BAND and Grammy-nominated BOMBINO appear on horns, synths, and bass.
Hanlin fills out the record’s original programming with re-purposed hits from some of his favorite folk and psychedelic bands like Tame Impala, Feist, and Father John Misty, transforming them into monstrous vintage rock and soul epics.
